Why should I upgrade my 7.3 EBPV Power Stroke Turbo Pedestal?

Hey there, Ford diesel enthusiasts! Does your Ford 7.3 Power Stoke (99.5-03) feel sluggish and underperforming? We’ve got just the thing to help you unlock its true potential. This upgrade is a must-have when using the stock outlet, high flow outlets, or a “gutted” stock outlet combined with the turbo pedestal with exhaust valve and actuator. And the best part? It’s a direct bolt-in replacement for the factory pedestal and GTP38 exhaust outlet, so you can easily install it yourself using the same tools and technique as the original.

Why should you upgrade to a Non-EBPV pedestal on your Ford 7.3 Power Stoke? For starters, it eliminates leaks from the EBV actuator assembly, so you can say goodbye to annoying engine oil messes. Plus, it works seamlessly with the factory turbo, Garrett GTP38 turbos, and most aftermarket “drop in” performance turbos. This pedestal can accommodate both the stock GTP38 turbo and high-performance options. This pedestal eliminates the factory actuator rod assembly, preventing engine soot and crud from “plugging” it. Also, as an added benefit, your boost pressures will increase by 3 psi and your EGTs will decrease by 60 degrees Fahrenheit

Important details about this 7.3 EBPV turbo pedestal:

  • This turbo will NOT fit V8 Ford 7.3 Power Stoke engines build before 12/6/98 (Early 99 models, before engine #896,813)
  • Early 99 models most likely have the V8 Ford 7.3 Power Stoke fender badge
  • Late build 99 Models can be identified by the Ford 7.3 Power Stoke badge on the door
  • Early 99 models have 4 Bolts securing the compressor housing
  • Late Build 99 Models Have 5 bolts securing the compressor housing
  • Intake cover for will have a three inch diameter intake on engine to fit this unit vs. the earlier 2.5 inch cover

Professional Installation recommended but back yard diesel mechanics with the right knowledge will be just as successful.

  • Each unit is 100% quality assurance tested and controlled by the Iron Rhino™ ISO:9001 quality assurance program
  • Because the exhaust valve does not inhibit turbo performance, turbo lag is significantly reduced and boost increased (up to 3 psi boost increase)
  • The EBP eliminator will reduce you exhaust gas temperatures (EGT) helping you haul heavy loads longer (up to 60 degree drop in EGTs)
  • This pedestal and turbo housing cover maximize the collection of exhaust gases, enhances control boost and decreases exhaust back pressure.
  • The Iron Rhino™ Non-EBV system increases your engine reliability exponentially
  • Pedestal assembly dose NOT include the 7.3 EBPV Actuator (it is eliminated with this kit)
  • You may need to buy an additional by-pass pigtail to eliminate the registering of check engine codes or get your ECM re-programmed to ignore this
  • Jumping the loose connector with a 470 Ohms 1 Watt 1% resistor will mimic the old EBP actuator function and prevent check engine codes and will prevent the need for a by-pass pigtail or ECM re-program
